Before physical therapy: I couldn’t get out of bed or rise after sitting without stabbing, excruciating pain [in the foot]. Occasionally, my foot would just burn in the heel and arch for no apparent reason.
After physical therapy: Much, much improved after only 3 weeks! Dan has helped so very much and gave me encouragement. His guidance and gentle demeanor was so appreciated! He is the best!

Before therapy, I could not walk – I was in a wheelchair and I was frustrated. As a senior and an athletic 18-year-old, I was unhappy with the fact I couldn’t move around like my classmates. I was diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma in my upper left thigh/hip, and had to have two surgeries to remove the tumor (which was the size of a grapefruit) and the surrounding muscles. Because the hole was so large, the surgeon had to take part of my outer quad and fill the gaping hole in my hip. Physical Therapy Success Story

[Before physical therapy] little things were starting to require a lot of effort and I was experiencing a lot of pain doing little things with my right arm. I was waking up two or three times a night with pain.

[After physical therapy] I’m having less pain doing the same movements and, sleeping much better. I would say at least a 70% improvement.

Before Physical Therapy: I had been having knee pain for weeks with no explanation. When I started [physical therapy] I was unable to walk down stairs without double stepping. Sitting caused a very sharp pain that almost locked my knee where I was unable to move.

After Physical Therapy: I have had little to no pain and am able to return to all that I was doing before. I am back to working out and all my regular activities. I now know what my condition likely was and the ASTYM treatment helped it immensely.

Hand Therapy Success Story

Arm Pain Success Story

Before surgery the muscle spasms in my arm were unbearable. I had no pain after surgery, but without physical therapy I would have had no use of the arm.
